Dichroic Glass

Dichroic glass is a special glass made by vacuum depositing extremely thin layers of chromium, silicon, titanium, aluminum or zirconium on glass, depending on the color wanted. The colors are almost holographic in appearance and show up differently depending on whether light goes through the glass or reflects off it.

Dichroic glass is responsible for the shimmering highlights you can see in many of the cremulet samples.
